Beam Angle
The beam angle of the lamp is measured in degrees (°). In 3D, the light beam of the lamp can be thought of as a cone with the point starting at the centre of the lamp – the larger the beam angle, the wider the spread of the light. Flood or wide flood lamps have a large beam angle and illuminate a greater area; spotlights have a narrow beam angle and illuminate smaller, more precise areas. Use a narrow beam angle lamp if you want to pick out certain areas of a room, and a wider beam angle lamp if you wish to illuminate a greater area.
